Big Boy Undies

Kimber won't turn 2 until December. However, we were in the dollar store the other night and I decided to pick him up some big boy underwear. After his bath he insisted that we put them on and he was just SO adorable in them I could not stand it. See for yourself: Even after we put on his diaper he wanted them on again. And of course his favorite right now is Toy Story so it worked out perfectly. He'll point and say "doy doy" (toy story). He is so precious!

And he is smart too. He always always always sleeps with a green John Deere blanket in his mouth. So when it was time to go to bed he took me by the hand and led me to the laundry room. He had been playing with a ball so I thought he threw it in the washer b/c I keep the top up. But I picked him up and there was nothing in the washer. However, the blanket was not there either. So then he decided it was upstairs in his bed so he went there and it was in his bed! Lilia told me she had washed it that day, so it had been in the washer and dryer!

Kimber's Ride

So we had a whirlwind trip to Florida and back. My sister got to my house at 8:00 pm and we had everything, including 3 babies under the age of 3, loaded by 8:30. But then we had to stop at Sonic so we didn't get off until 8:45. The kids actually did pretty well even though they only slept about 3 hours of the 6.5 hour trip! We ended up getting there around 2:30 or 3 and we had to stop only 3 times.

Saturday was GREAT! The beach was wonderful and the weather was wonderful. We played in the sand all day and did not sweat! The kids love the beach and love having everyone together.

But, unfortunately Dustin and I had to return to work for Monday. So, Sunday afternoon we headed home...but this time it was much quicker when my daddy flew us home. This was the first time K has flown in a small plane. He did great! He refused to wear the earphones but it is not that loud in the plane, so he was fine. He played the whole time. Even though it was nap time, he would NOT go to sleep. Here are a few pics of his first ride:

K and I will be flying back to the beach tomrrow to stay through the weekend!! I'm looking forward to this 2 hour trip!

Where is Addie Lee?

Well, as of this second, I am NOT sure! She is probably over Mississippi and getting close to entering Alabama. She is with my mama and daddy in my daddy's airplane. Now she has flown several times before, but NEVER in a small plane (besides those they call "large" planes that fly out of Monroe!). So after school, I took her to my daddy's hangar and they were off. She wasn't scared, she was just excited! They are headed to the beach. Kimber, Dustin, my sister and her two kids and myself will be joining them tonight. But we are DRIVING! I know, what fun with three kids 2 and under!

I watched them leave. Let's just say that when your baby girl goes up in a small airplane without you, you get a little nervous! If you have better eyes than me you may can see the small white dot on the left...that's the plane! I'm not sure what's happening on the left of this pic. It looks like smoke but I didn't see that when I was there!

I'll let you know how my "trip" to the beach goes w/ the other three kiddos!

Recent Happenings

Well, we have been under the weather in the Morris household. I have strep (prob running 7 miles on Saturday had nothing to do with this!), AL had to get a shot and you know that was drama, K is better now although he had an awful cough, and Dustin was sick in there too (but I didn't have to take him to the dr. so not sure what's wrong)!

We are on the upswing but just barely!

Here are some positive things that have been going on at our house: AL can now say the pledge of allegiance (after 2 weeks of school), Kimber is starting to talk in real sentences (if you can understand him, which of course I can and we get into deeps convos), we have started back to AWANA and I teach the 3 and 4 year olds so AL is learning Bible verses, and we are headed to the BEACH this weekend!!!

I got this picture text to me from AL's teacher! The necklace she wore to school had purple lip gloss in it and I guess she thought it was time to put it on! Too funny! (And yes, she wore a jacket! She picked out her clothes and we do not fight about them unless they do not cover her body!)

School Girl with a Red Apple

My little girl started school on Tuesday. It was a hard day for me. She was excited the night before and excited when she woke up. However, she was pretty shy once we got to school. These aren't the best pics because they were taken with a phone but I'll post the better ones later.

There is a behavior chart in their classroom and there is a green apple for good and that's where every child starts everday. Then if they get a warning their pin gets moved down to yellow and if you are in trouble twice you get moved to the red apple.....WELL, you guessed it, on the third day little miss AL got a RED APPLE!

I asked her teacher what she did and apparently she was not being a good listener and following instructions (yes, I have this problem some at home so not a huge surprise) so she got moved to the yellow. Then the class was making fruit loop necklaces and my child was eating the fruit loops and was told not to do that. She did not listen but kept eating her fruit loops! So she got moved to a red apple!! When the teacher looked over and asked AL what was in her mouth she covered her mouth and said "Nuttin" (nothing). Funny story now, but not good that she got a red apple. She was highly disappointed when she did not get a prize from her teacher b/c she didn't have green apples all week. But, she did have a green apple today! When she didn't get her prize she said "I'm so sorry I got a red apple" in her dramatic way as only she can perform! All a learning process I guess!
